Louise Marie Watson

Louise Marie (Silva) Watson of Mansion Hill Drive passed away Monday evening (January 13, 2014) at Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin, NH. She was 93.

Born on April 22, 1920 in Providence, RI she was the daughter of Manuel V. and Mary (Silveira) Silva.

Louise was a graduate of Hope High School in Providence, RI. On October 13, 1956 she married William Watson.

She and William owned and operated the Beacon Motel until William’s untimely death in 1971. Louise then was employed for many years as a Secretary to the General Manager at Loon Mountain, retiring in 1998.

Louise was a devoted communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln and served in various volunteer positions in the community including Hospice. In 1992, she received the Rotary Citizens of the Year award.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her husband William, a son Mark Watson, brothers Arthur and Anthony Silva and a sister Rose Silva.

She is survived by a son Jeffrey Watson and his wife Annette of Bow, two daughters Patricia McDonald and her husband David of Bow and Susan Watson and her fiancAC. Tom Doran of Lincoln; grandchildren David McDonald, Christian McDonald, Katie Potter and Natalie Barry; great-grandchildren Kai and Evan Potter; Sisters Mary Silva and Veronica Costa both of Cranston, RI and Dorothy Silva of Providence, RI, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, NH. Rev David Kneeland will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln, NH.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH.
