Upon finishing her schooling in Zording Germany, Herta began a career as a fashion designer for Bogner Ski Wear. Shortly thereafter, she met her husband Ted at a Boston Hill ski race. They were married in 1964 in Germany and shared 55 years of marriage. Herta raised two wonderful children Tina (whom predeceased her) and Tom (Jennifer) and her grandson Timothy. Herta was the Executive Secretary for NHARA for almost 20 years keeping track of membership, answering all the many questions and assisting NHARA whenever called upon.
Now retired from NHARA, but not from service to ski racing, Herta continued to support her husband Ted’s work with US Skiing and Snowboarding.
