Ernest H. Saulnier
December 27, 1930 – August 26, 2016
Ernest Howard Saulnier, 85, of Hanson Farm Road, Lincoln, NH died August 26, 2016, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
He was born in Campton, NH December 27, 1930, the son of Howard and Eva (Doloff) Saulnier.
Mr. Saulnier lived most of his life in Lincoln. He graduated from Plymouth High School, then attended trade school in Boston. He owned and operated the former Saulnier Oil Company and the former Campers World in Lincoln. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic fraternity and past Master of Parker Lodge #97 in North Woodstock, NH and a life long Shriner.
He enjoyed bluegrass and country music, and was a self-taught guitar and dobro player. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and card player.
He joined his beloved wife of 51 years, Carla Anne Saulnier, in the loving embrace of our dear Lord.
He is survived by his son, Randall Saulnier and his wife Deirdre of Derby, VT; two daughters, Vicky Cornelius and her husband Gene of Thornton, NH and Jody Saulnier and her partner Earl Carver of North Woodstock, NH; his grandson Michael Mann; three sisters, Claire Littlefield of Concord, NH, Sarah Strong of Campton, NH and Mona Boutin of Bath, NH; his sister-in-law Donna Wyre of North Woodstock, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday August 29th from 6 to 8 PM at the Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St., North Woodstock.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 11 AM at the Church of the Messiah, School Street In North Woodstock, NH. Immediately following the service, burial will be in the Woodstock Cemetery.
