Lawrence L. Richardson, Jr., of Mirror Lake Road died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home following a long battle of declining health due to Kidney failure. He was 83.

Born on July 9, 1932 in Weymouth, MA, he was the son of Laurence L. and Catherine (Jargensen) Richardson.

Lawrence grew up in and around Hingham Ma. He attended Hingham High School and left to serve in the Korean War and came home after serving four years to finish his high school career at Thayer Academy. He traveled then to Santa Monica CA to study engineering.

In earlier years, Lawrence was employed by M. Rosenblatt & Sons as an Assistant Manager, Marine Engineer & Naval Architect and by Stone & Webster as a Marine Engineer & Naval Architect.

Upon moving to New Hampshire he owned Richardson Cleaning Service. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. In both Mass and NH he built sail boats and enjoyed making cradles and wooden furniture for his family.

He leaves his wife of twenty four years Ruth E. (Bryson) Richardson of Thornton, sons Mark Rodnick of CA, Scott Richardson and wife Mae of Quincy, MA and Todd Richardson of Thornton, NH and a daughter Lori Richardson of Whitman, MA, stepsons Thomas Duguay and wife Robyn of Thornton, NH and Alfred Duguay and wife Amy of Thornton NH, step-daughter Florence Bartlett and husband Jay of Lincoln, NH. His grandchildren Scott, Trevor and Erin Richardson, Megan, Naomi, Qwincee and Hemingway Duguay. Randy, Electra, Eunice, Thor, Viking and Xena Bartlett. Great Grandchildren Alexzandra and William Showers, Ava Rocko and Korra Ward

He is pre-deceased by his late wife Georgette Richardson and daughter Lynn Marie and his granddaughter Brandy Alexzandra.

A graveside service will be held at 10am, Saturday September 12th at Woodstock Cemetery, Rte 3, Woodstock.
