Gladys Thelma Randlett
April 11, 1923 – September 9, 2012
Gladys Thelma Randlett of Cooksville Road passed away early Sunday Morning (September 9, 2012) at her home surrounded by her family. She was 89.
Born on April 11, 1923 in Canaan, NH, she was the daughter of Walter E. and Ada A. (Clogston).
Gladys grew up in Lebanon, NH and was educated at Lebanon Schools.
On July 4, 1940 she married Warren E. Randlett and they made their home in Plymouth, NH and shared 68 years of marriage.
Over the years, she was employed as a hairdresser in Lebanon, a waitress at Plymouth Sate College, staff at Holderness Boys School, employee at Sprague Electric in Plymouth and as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in Florida.
She was a member of the Rumney Baptist Church and the Center Harbor Christian Church with Bob and Barbara Farah. She was also a charter member of the Plymouth Emblem Club and supported her husband in his racing career.
Besides her husband she is predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters Joan Randlett and her husband John of Plymouth and Patricia Burrows of Homosassa, FL.
Two Sons Richard Randlett and his wife Bonnie of Ashland, NH and William Randlett and his wife Karen of Homosassa, FL.
11 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A half brother Albert Willette of New Hampton, NH
Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, September 15 at Plymouth United Methodist Church, 334 Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth, NH. Rev. Dan Bowers will officiate. A reception will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, West Rumney at a later date.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8pm Friday, Sept 14 at Plymouth United Methodist Church.
