Harold Edward Moore

Harold Edward Moore died peacefully in his 90th year on August 19, 2016 in North Haverhill, N.H.
He was born on May 31, 1926 in Everett, MA, to Harold and Nancy (Sivertsen) Moore. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Lee (Whiting) Moore. He attended Wakefield (MA) High School and served in the US Navy in the south pacific during World War II.
Harold was employed in the family business, Maynard H. Moore Inc., in Stoneham MA throughout his working life. He enjoyed over 40 years of square dancing with his wife and friends throughout the northeast and was a gifted boat builder, carpenter and mechanic spending 60 summers with his family at the cottage he built on Welch Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. He was much loved and respected for his quiet strength and dignity and was a devoted husband for 65 years.
He is survived by his children Peter Edward and Michele (Dodds) Moore of Lincoln, NH, Barry James and Ann (Traverso) Moore of St. Johnsbury, VT, Terry Lee (Moore) Korre of Naxos, Greece, Dana Charles and Jessica (Seavey) Moore of Freeport, ME; six grandchildren, Seth Moore, Miranda Moore, Leif Moore, Amilia Korre, Kiriaki (Korre) Katsourou and Brenna Moore; and his three great grandchildren, Sage Moore, Jackson Moore and Marina Katsourou.
Visiting hours and services are Saturday August 27, 2016, from 2-4 pm at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St. North Woodstock, NH.
