Henry Lawton ( Hank) Coburn III

Henry Lawton (Hank) Coburn, III of Rte 3 died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Littleton Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 70.

He was born on May 13, 1943.

Hank served in the Army National Guard for eight years. He was a life member of the Woodstock Fire Department and served as a police officer in Woodstock as well.

Hank owned and operated his own business “Hank’s Place” and also his other jobs included working at the Lincoln Paper Mill, construction, Burndy’s, Tim’s White Mountain Garage and Fournier-Hale Funeral Home.

Hank enjoyed his family and friends, camping and old cars. He especially liked the motorcycle rides and breakfasts out with Deveda’s sisters and their husbands.

He leaves behind his wife Deveda of 52 years, four children, Becky, Kevin and wife Heidi, Kelly and Fiance Reggie, and Hank IV. Six grandchildren Nicole, Cori, Billy (Currently a US Marine Recruit at Parris Island, SC), Michael, Mikayla and Kody, and two great-grandchildren, Layla and Cash. Other family members include a sister Carol Coburn of Penecook and a brother George Lane and his wife Dianne of Plymouth. Among the many other family members he leaves are Deveda’s three sisters, Theda, Nancy, and Arlene, who were very special to him. Several nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his dog, Shadow, his best friend.

A Celebration of Hank’s Life will be held at 2:30pm Thursday, January 23 at Pemi Valley Church, Rte 3, Woodstock, NH. Rev. Marcus Corey will officiate.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at the church prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38105.
