Roger J. Huntoon of LaBrecque Street died Saturday Morning April 12, 2014 at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH where he had resided for the past several months. He was 70.

Born on September 10, 1943 in Sanford, Maine, he was the son of Kendall B. and Blanche Mary (LaPete) Huntoon.

He was raised in Bethlehem, NH and moved to North Woodstock, NH at age 17 and then settled in Lincoln.

In earlier years, he worked at the Franconia Paper Company in Lincoln, NH and construction with White Mountain Concrete and retired from Loon Mountain as a security officer in May of 2004.

He enjoyed watching auto racing, baseball and wrestling, doing yard work and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is pre-deceased by both of his parents, his sister Joyce Huntoon, and his granddaughter Cameryn Dexter.

He leaves his wife Mary Ann (Gahagan) of Lincoln, three sons Roy J. Huntoon and Stephan A. Huntoon both of Lincoln, and Roger J. Huntoon and his wife Eileen of Norwich, CT, a daughter Cheryl L. Dexter and her husband Curt of Littleton, five grandchildren Courtney, Katrien, Kyle, and Addison Dexter and Katelynn Huntoon, three brothers Kendall Huntoon, Jr of Monroe, NH, Barry Huntoon, Sr of Jefferson, NH and Robert Huntoon, and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am Thursday, April 17 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH. Rev. David Kneeland, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln will officiate. Burial will be in May at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday evening April 16 at the funeral home.
