Therese Marie Dumont

Therese Marie Dumont, a longtime resident of School Street died Wednesday evening (May 18, 2016) at her daughter’s home in Weare, NH following a period of declining health. She was 87.
Born on May 11, 1929 in St. Marguerite P.Q., Canada, she was the daughter of Amedee and Marie-Louise (Lacasse) Pouliot.
Therese grew up in Canada and on Aug 15, 1959 she married George O. Dumont and they migrated to the United States, settling in Lincoln, NH.
In addition to being a homemaker, she worked outside the home as a chambermaid at Pemi Motel and in the cafeteria at Loon Mountain.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, playing cards, doing word puzzles, cooking, baking pies, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her parents, several brothers predeceased her.
She leaves her husband of 58 years George Dumont of Lincoln, a son Michel Dumont and wife Debbie of Stratham, NH, three daughters Diane Sweeney and husband Richard of Weare, Louise Hooker and husband Thomas of Tacoma, WA, and Nancy Dumont of Shoreline, WA; 8 grandchildren: Matthew Dumont and wife Lauren, Kyle and Bryan Dumont; Emily, Tyler and Nathan Sweeney; Craig & David Hooker; a sister Jeanne Audesse of St. Marie, P.Q. Canada; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am Monday, June 6 at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, NH.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday, June 5 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, No. Woodstock, NH.
