Charles B. Clark, Sr
April 2, 1932 – January 24, 2011
Charles B. “Charlie” Clark,Sr. of Dorchester Road died Monday January 24, 2011 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH following a lengthy illness. He was 78.
Born on April 2, 1932 in Boston, MA, he was the son of Henry and Mary (Domurat) Clark.
As a child, he lived in Stoneham, MA and was a graduate of Boston-Latin High School.
After his education, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic.
He was employed by the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority(MBTA), for whom he drove buses and trackless trolleys for 27 years, retiring in 1983. He also worked at a dog track at Revere Beach, Mass and then drove school bus in Wilmington, Mass from 1983-1987.
In 1988, he moved to Rumney, NH. He drove school bus for Robertson Transit and SAU # 48, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of Rumney Baptist Church since 1996, a life member of Rumney American Legion Post #76, and was a past member of Boston Carmens Union for over 30 years.
He was a 20 year friend of Bill W’s.
A son Brian Clark and a grandson Eric Marshall both pre-deceased him.
Survivors include his wife Barbara (Martin) Clark of Rumney

Three daughters: Diane Dowling and her husband James of Derry, NH Cynthia Spellenberg and her husband Keith of Pepperell, Mass And Joanne Lekas and her husband Michael of Templeton, Mass
2 Step-Daughters,10 grandsons, 5 Granddaughters
Funeral service will be held at 11am Friday, January 28 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St, North Woodstock, NH with Rev. Dan Bowers officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Pleasant View Cemetery, Rumney.
Calling hours will be held from 7-9pm Thursday, Jan 27 at the funeral home.
