Luca D Catoggio

Luca D. Catoggio of Lincoln Station passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston, MA following complications from bladder cancer. He was 77. Born on April 11, 1937 in New York, NY, he was the son of Dr. Domenick and Antoinette (Cesario) Catoggio. Luca grew up in Astoria, New York, and was a graduate of Columbia University, College of Pharmacy. He raised his family in Albertson, New York and lived there for 38 years.
Luca owned his own drug store, Kantor Pharmacy, in Hempstead, New York, for 25 years. He retired to Lincoln, NH fourteen years ago, and was employed as a part-time pharmacist in town at Rite Aid. Luca was devoted to his family and leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Erica and five loving children, Stephen, Paul, Karen, Edward and Annemarie, together with their spouses, Mary, Noel, Rob, Ann and Shane. Known as Poppy to his 11 wonderful grandchildren, Katy, Cameron, Olivia, Stephanie, Andreya, Isabel, Ashley, Taylor, Luke, Liam and Serena. Luca had a very special bond with his dog, Romeo.
Luca attended St. Joseph Church, in Lincoln, N.H. He was very involved in his community. He worked at First Aid at Loon Mountain, enjoyed golfing days at the Jack, played Senior Softball and loved Monday night card games with his buddies.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, July 16 at St. Joseph Church, 26 Church St, Lincoln,NH. Rev David Kneeland will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lincoln,NH and a reception will follow at the Lincoln Station Clubhouse. There are no calling hours.
