Celia (Bassett) Bossie, 75, of Lincoln died from a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer on Saturday, March 12, 2011. She was surrounded by her family.
Celia was born in Burlington, VT on September 1, 1935, the daughter of Glenn and Frances Bassett.
She was raised in Lincoln, NH and graduated from Lincoln High School.
She was a communicant of The Church of St. Joseph in Lincoln and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
In her lifetime, she has worked in the accounting department of Franconia Notch State Park, been co-owner of the Kanki Pub, cooked at Woodward’s Motor Inn, and was a manager at McDonalds of Lincoln.
Members of her family include her loving husband of over 53 years, Gilman Bossie of Lincoln
Her daughters: Julie Rand and her husband Paul of North Woodstock and Anne Dovholuk and her husband Michael of Lincoln
Sons: Glenn Bossie and his wife Susan of Fredericksburg, VA and Joseph Bossie of North Woodstock
Celia has 10 grandchildren: Gwendolyn Drew, Tiffany Sothard, Matthew Dovholuk, Heather Rand, Lindsey Kirkpatrick, Ashley Bossie, Joe Bossie II, Glenn Bossie II, Hannah Bossie, and Julia Bossie.
Her 6 Great-Grandchildren: Michael & Elizabeth Drew, Vienna Rand, Colt Sothard, Owen Dovholuk, and Gavin Kirkpatrick.
She also leaves behind a sister Karen Anderson of Ellington, CT
A brother Ron Tasker of Columbia, CT, and a brother Jan Tasker of Manassa, VA
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, March 19 at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln. Rev. John MacKenzie will officiate. There are no calling hours.
