Steven Paul Eldred, 52, of Thorton, NH passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, August 23,2018.
Born and raised in the Ballardvale section of Andover, MA, Steven was the son of the late James Eldred and Ann (Froburg) Eldred.
Steven lived in various towns of The White Mountains of N.H. for the past thirty years. First working at his parent’s business, A.J.’s Country Store, Twin Mountain, NH. He eventually settled in North Woodstock, NH where he met ‘The love of his life’ Jessica. Steven and Jessica shared a son, Sebastian. Steven ultimately played the role of mother and father when Jessica lost her life in a tragic car accident on 8/30/2008, when their son was ten weeks old. Steven took on the role with steadfast determination becoming a coach to every sport and always cheering him on. Steven also leaves behind two very successful adult children. Nicholas Eldred, 30, of AZ and Ayla Eldred,26, of FL.
He was a self employed Landscaper and worked for Lincoln Condominium MGT Group. In his younger years, he was a Cook at many various restaurants. Steven enjoyed cooking meals and was the Family Chef at all The Eldred Parties. Steven was a huge History Buff and could talk for hours about World Wars. Jessica and Steven were huge NASCAR Fans and traveled to watch races. He loved old rock n’ roll music, especially Jimi Hendrix, even naming Nicholas with the same middle name, Marshall. He was an avid sports fan, loving Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Steelers. In the last nine years Steven found joy living at a small home he called ‘Jessica’s Dream.’ This home was purchased for his son, a home he and Jessica wanted to purchase before her untimely death.
In addition to Steven’s Mother and Children, he leaves behind a sister, Andrea (Eldred) Hasty, So. In closing, Sebastian asked that I include part of the last Birthday Card he had handmade for his Dad’s Birthday in May…
‘Dad, All that you do, is fun to do. We like to go fishing, that’s fun too. You’re the best. When I play sports you cheer me on.” (He re-worded this part the day after his Dad passed.) ‘And from up in the sky Mommy is playing with you!’
