John B. Ingalls, 88, of Paradise Road passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his home.
Born on August 2, 1929 in North Woodstock, NH, he was the son of John Ingalls and Dorothy Burbank.
A lifelong resident of North Woodstock, John was a 1948 graduate of Woodstock High School.
On November 18, 1950 he married Priscilla Jean Cawley of North Woodstock. He served from 1952 – 1953 in the US Army during the Korean War.
At age 16 he was employed at the Franconia Paper Company until its closing in the early 1970’s. John retired as an assistant patrolman from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and yard work. He was lucky enough to continue his passion for snowmobiling until the age of 85.
He was a member of the Pemi Valley Church, the Lincoln American Legion Post #83 and the Parker Masonic Lodge #97 of North Woodstock.
He leaves his loving wife of 67 years Priscilla C. Ingalls of North Woodstock, two sons: Jeffrey Ingalls and wife Nancy of North Woodstock, NH and Gregory Ingalls of Seward, Alaska; two grandchildren: Keagen Ingalls of Crested Butte, CO and Brenden Ingalls of North Woodstock, NH; two brothers Kenneth Magoon and wife Mary Lou of Hill, NH and Bliss Magoon and wife Claire of Loudon, NH; a sister Coral Neider of Concord, NH as well many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers: Robert Magoon and Marcus Magoon.
A spring graveside service will be held at Woodstock Cemetery in Woodstock, NH.
