Helen Corbeil

September 18, 1920 ~ October 7, 2018 (age 98)

North Woodstock –

 

Helen Corbeil, 98, died October 7, 2018 with family by her side for the last days of her life at the Lafayette Center in Franconia. 

 

Helen was born September 18, 1920.  She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. 

 

Helen enjoyed skiing, snow mobile trips, gardening, and walking in her younger days.  She loved going to Maine, Florida, and Colorado to visit her kids.  She and her husband Sonny traveled the US, Canada, and parts of Mexico.  In later years, she enjoyed square dancing, quilting, sewing, playing cards with friends at the Lin-Wood Senior Center, and was well known for Bingo with friends at the Lafayette Center.  Helen loved her family, friends, and kitties.

 

Helen was the widow of Joseph “Sonny” Corbeil and Parker Cox.  She is also predeceased by her children; Deirdra (Corbeil) LaMotte, Michael Corbeil, Tommy Corbeil and family; Eva Twombley, Priscilla Cox and many other family and friends. 

 

Helen is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Cox) Emerson, spouse Ronnie Emerson, and Grandchildren Cindy Bradley, Tami Emerson, and Joseph Emerson; Grandchildren Aimee (LaMotte) Kolomick and spouse Tom, Chad LaMotte and spouse Kim Marie; 9 great grandkids, and 5 great-great grandkids.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, October 19 at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, NH.  Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, October 18 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH.

 

The family would like to thank Helen’s “extended family” (staff and residents) at the Lafayette Center, Carol Downing (personal care provider), Lisa Baker and staff (formerly Lin-Wood Medical Center), and Rev. David Kneeland for your love and care.
