Alan L. Thomas of Mirror Lake Road died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Grafton County Nursing Home following a period of declining health. He was 85.
Born on March 21, 1933 in Toronto, Canada, he was the son of Carl E. and Doris (Potter) Thomas.
Alan grew up in Watertown, MA and earned a forestry degree at Paul Smith’s College in New York.
He served in the US Army from 1954-1956.
On July 2, 1972 he married Cynthia Coy and moved to Woodstock, NH.
He retired from Hitchner’s in Littleton, NH. He was a notable railroad photographer with many of his photos published in the US.
He leaves his wife of 47 years Cynthia Thomas of Woodstock, NH and a sister Joyce Johnson of Florida.
Burial will be at Woodstock Cemetery.
