Campton, NH- Mrs. Irene L. Hahn of 4 Stetson Drive died Sunday, March 5, 2017 after a long illness. She was the wife of Rev. Raymond D. Hahn.

She was born October 28, 1932 in Belfast, Maine, the daughter of Francis Deane Wood and Vera Olive ( Tuller) Wood.  She attended the public schools in Belfast, graduating from Crosby High School in 1951.  She attended Gordon College, Then in Boston.

She married the Rev, Raymond D. Hahn on June 18, 1978, and was very active in participating in all of his ministries in Maine, Connecticut and New Hampshire.  She wrote a weekly column for the Family Worship Center in Plymouth, NH which appeared regularly in the Record-Enterprise since 1992.  She also wrote a weekly column for the Chapel of St. John on the Mountains in Ellsworth during the season which appeared regularly in the Record-Enterprise since 2003. She was a published author: her children’s book Jacob and Jenny Visit the Zoo was published in 2011 and her Christmas play The Bible Path to the Manger was published the same year.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Raymond D. Hahn; one daughter Lois E. McFarland of Indiana; two granddaughters Samatha-Jean and Lynn-Ann; two great-grandsons all in Maine; a step-daughter Nancy Robinson; three step-grandchildren and one step-granddaughter all in Texas; one brother, Allen Wood and his wife Mary Ann of California, several nephews and nieces.  Her parents and one sister Eleanor predeceased her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11am in The Family Worship Center Assembly of God Church, 319 Highland Street, Plymouth, NH with a reception to follow. Visiting hours will be held from 10 am until time of service. Burial will be held at 2 pm in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in  Boscowen, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Church or charity of your choice.
