Francis A. Barron of Daniel Webster Highway passed away Tuesday evening (November 1, 2016) at Charlwell House in Norwood, MA where he had been residing to be closer to his family. He was 86.

Born on July 16, 1930 in North Woodstock, NH, he was the son of Joseph and Ruby (Benton) Barron.  A lifelong resident of North Woodstock, he attended Woodstock Schools.

In earlier years, he was employed at local mills including Burndys and then was employed as a laborer at various restaurants and resorts in the area including the Jack O Lantern and Indian Head Resort.

He was an avid newspaper reader and his interest & conversations would center around current events, politics, and history especially the World Wars.

He was always doing handyman “fix-it” things around the house and also enjoyed day trips driving in the car.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his loving wife of 44 years Ruth (Kinne) Barron (2012), a son Robert Barron (2009), three brothers Robert, Edward, and Carlton Barron, and a sister Marjorie Barron.

He leaves a daughter Nancy Germaine and her husband Bill of Walpole, Mass and grandchildren Nickolas, Olivia, Anthony, and Zackary; brother and sister in laws Richard & Joyce Kinne of Rumney and Anne Kinne of Wentworth, a nephew, two nieces, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, November 7, 2016 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, No. Woodstock, NH.  Burial will follow at Woodstock Cemetery.  A calling hour will be held from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
